The upcoming registration will feature the full implementation of MLP, credit card payment, using our website: ispdi.com The past year has been full of changes at SPDI. Physically, we moved our location to 245 Union Avenue, Holbrook. We feel it is an ideal centralized location for our students. Five classrooms with Smart Boards, AV equipment and computer drops have been created. Shortly, we expect to have one room dedicated to “wellness” suited for fitness classes and light exercise equipment.
In addition to our extensive existing course offerings, we have added six new courses offering both inservice and graduate credit. The collaboration between SPDI, District Personnel, and Stony Brook has resulted in one of the finest professional development programs on the island. At the core of our program development is an actively involved curriculum council that allows us to maintain high educational standards for our program.
The new registration process begins at our website: ispdi.com. There you can view our catalog online, link to valuable educational websites, submit course proposals, receive timely updates and advice, and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Most importantly, you will be able to access My Learning Plan(MLP) to view the online catalog, register, get course approval, and pay for your courses by credit card. Instructors and students will now communicate through MLP including grading and course completion verification.
As always, SPDI will be here to guide you through these changes. The human element is still vital in handling the nuances of the registration process.
